Home Buying FAQs

At Sego Homes, we want to make sure you’re armed with the facts about buying a new home in the beautiful community of South Jordan Daybreak. That’s why we put together a list of our most frequently asked questions. Chances are, if you’ve thought about a question, someone else has already asked it, so we wanted to make it easy to find the answers. Browse the list below, and find a few more on our FAQs page. How long is the build time for both single-family homes and townhomes?


Build times can be anywhere from six to nine months.


How do I get on your interest list?  


You will need a lender pre-approval to be added to our Preferred Buyers list for a specific floor plan. Please reach out if you’d like a list of preferred lenders. 


Can I select my own finishes? 


Yes! If you purchase a presale home, meaning one that is not yet built, you can choose from a wide variety of selections in our fantastic Design Center. Move-in ready homes are already complete with finishes curated by our professional design team. 


Does the purchase price change during the construction process? 


Once home construction starts, the price is firm and will not change. When a home is pre-sold (meaning the home is yet to be built), the price is firm but is subject to change up to 14 days prior to the start of construction in the event that there is a large increase in material costs. In this case, only a small portion of that increase would be passed on to the buyer, and the buyer always has the option to cancel and have all deposits refunded to them if they choose not to proceed.


Can I put a hot tub on the roof deck? 


Absolutely! In fact, we are the only builder in Daybreak that has roof decks that are engineered to support a hot tub on all of our homes since 2018.


Where can I park outside of the garage? 


There is street parking all the way around the community.


What features are included in the homes? 


So many! We offer 9-foot ceilings and big windows that let in lots of natural light. Kitchens and baths have quartz or granite countertops and modern, flat panel cabinets. There is laminate flooring in the entry, kitchen, and living room.


Where is the Manhattan/Urban and Sky Terrace series being built? 


It will be near the Trax, new library, concert venue, and the upcoming downtown in Daybreak.


What’s included in the townhome HOA fee of $276.50 per month? 


The townhome HOA fee includes internet, landscaping, snow removal, exterior insurance, and all the Daybreak amenities (four pools, a recreation center with gym, parks, trails, courts, and more).


What’s included in the single-family HOA fee of $131 per month?


The single-family home HOA fee includes internet and all the Daybreak amenities (four pools, a recreation center with gym, parks, trails, courts, and more!).
