After a day out in the sun, there’s nothing better than returning to your comforting (and cooled) Sego home. In order to keep your home as cozy as can be during the hot summer months, along with warm in the winter, it’s important to routinely replace your furnace air filter.
This way, you can rest assured that your heating and cooling systems will always work properly! In this week’s DIY Minute Maintenance Tips series, we’re going to teach you how to replace your air filters.
1. Remove the air filter cover plate
2. Gently remove the filter by sliding it out
3. To replace your filter, gently slide it in with the direction of the air flow going toward your furnace
4. Once you’ve correctly replaced your air filter, replace the air filter cover plate
It’s as easy as that! No hassle, no fuss. After you’ve replaced your air filter, you can enjoy peace of mind throughout the season. Pro tip: when using a MERV 8 filter, make sure to change filters every 90 days for maximum performance.
