DIY Minute Maintenance Tips: Utility Bills

Utility Bills

If the past year taught us anything, it’s that home truly is the most important place in the world. That’s why our healthy, green, and smart Sego homes are built to be completely energy efficient, and provide you with fresh, clean indoor air and convenient smart tech from top to bottom.

This holiday season, as you enjoy cozy days at home with family, you can give yourself the gift of even lower utility bills. By adjusting the reservoir on your toilet, you can control the amount of water used each time you flush. In this part of our DIY Minute Maintenance Tips, take a look at how to reduce the amount of water used:

  1. Begin by removing the lid on your toilet’s reservoir tank.
  2. The mechanism that is used to flush the toilet has a blue adjustment screw on the top. By turning the adjustment screw to the right, you can decrease the amount of water you use per flush. By turning it to the left, the amount increases.
  3. Once you are done adjusting your toilet’s reservoir tank, replace the lid on the reservoir tank.

It’s as simple as that! In no time, you’ll be on your way to lower utility bills this holiday season and beyond. At Sego Homes, we hope you have a relaxing holiday and enjoy time spent in your comfortable home! Stay tuned for more tips!
